Italy’s Interior Minister and Deputy Premier Matteo Salvini said on Wednesday Italy welcomed genuine refugees.
He said, Italy had no space for migrants.
Ahead of the United Nations World Refugee Day, he contrasted refugees with the thousands of criminals who come to Italy.
He said, genuine refugees are not a problem but criminals cause trouble and want to impose their way of life.
He said, there is no room for everyone and elements who want to impose their way of life which is incompatible with our rights and liberties.
Tomorrow is World Refugee Day.
Salvini has closed Italy’s ports to rescue ships and to stop migrant arrivals.
He claims migrants rescued off Libya should be returned to the war-torn state.
