Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday reached out to French and Jordanian Presidents to apprise them of the deteriorating situation in Indian-held Kashmir.
In a telephonic conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron and Jordanian King Abdullah II the prime minister said the illegal and unilateral steps taken by New Delhi are against the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions.
He said, India is attempting to change the demography of the disputed territory.
He highlighted the hardships faced by the people of the occupied Kashmir.
He told the leaders of France and Jordan about the worsening situation of basic human rights violations in the Indian-held Kashmir.
Jordanian President said, Jordan is closely following the developments in Kashmir, saying the situation must be de-escalated resolution of the Kashmir must be sought through through dialogue and peaceful means.
The leaders agreed to continue to work together for peace and stability in the region.
India is committing gross human rights violations in Kashmir, the dire human rights violation and humanitarian situation require effective response.
