A former U.S. Congressman Joe Walsh on Sunday challenged President Donald Trump for the Republican party’s 2020 White House nomination.
A conservative Congressman-turned-talk-show host became the second Republican to challenge President Donald Trump.
He criticized Trump, saying he is a bully who is unfit for office.
The Republican National Committee has combined operations with Trump’s reelection campaign and dismissed Walsh’s announcement.
Walsh said he was undeterred.
President Trump enjoys unprecedented support among Republicans and any effort to challenge him in a primary is bound to go nowhere.
Walsh said his attitude contrasted with what he said was Trump’s refusal to apologize for anything.
