A 36-year-old businessman shot dead his parents, wife and son before killing himself in the south Indian state of Karnataka.
Omprakash and his family were under debt and were being harassed by the debtors.
According to reports, he was suffering losses in his call centre business, real estate and mining, including at Mysuru and Bengaluru.
Police said, the family appeared to have entered suicide pact.
His father was 65, mother, 60, wife was 36-year-old, eight months pregnant.
His son Aryan Krishna was four.
Police official Kumar said that Omprakash used 0.32-inch bore pistol, a licensed firearm, adding his family lived in Mysuru.
They drove to a rented farmhouse near Bandipur for an overnight stay on Thursday and sent his driver and an attendant back asking them to return in the morning, police said.
Omprakash allegedly shot his parents, wife and son after sending the driver and the attendant.
