Britain said on Monday it was joining a US-led maritime security mission in the Gulf.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards seized a British tanker near the Strait of Hormuz last month.
The U.K. said, it is joining a U.S-led maritime security mission to protect merchant vessels travelling through the Strait of Hormuz.
Defence Minister Ben Wallace said, “We look forward to working alongside the U.S.”
He said, the focus of the new mission is to protect the security of shipping.
He said, Britain will not join U.S. sanctions against Iran.
