The United States President Donald Trump has warned countries to stop importing oil from Iran.
The U.S. president reinstated sanctions against the countries buying oil from Iran.
He said, he will take care of countries which defy its directive.
Donald Trump pulled the United States out of the 2015 nuclear accord with Iran saying it failed to achieve the fundamental objective of blocking all paths to an Iranian nuclear bomb.
Despite sanctions, the countries importing oil from Iran are Japan, South Korea, Turkey, China and India.
The exemption time given to these countries is expiring on May 2.
The United States asked the buyers of Iranian oil to cut imports to zero over Tehran’s “malign activities, including its ballistic missile programme and its support for terrorism.”
Iran is India’s third-largest oil supplier.
