The State Bank has said if the conditions of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are not met, the IMF programme will be suspended.
According to Khouj News sources, the State Bank governor Raza Baqir said, a special team is working for meeting the conditions of the FATF, and because of FATF the IMF programme is in danger.
He said, the government is being consulted about the FATF and assistance is being sought from the member countries of the FATF.
He said, politicians are contacting those countries.
Raza Baqir said, deficit in the current account has created vacuum between the expenses and savings.
He said, increase in government expenses and reduction in taxes added up to the debts.
He said, Pakistani economy can’t be compared with the Egyptian economy, adding, the Pakistani economy is getting better, adding, the purchasing power of people is getting improving.
