Multiple explosions in Kabul, Afghanistan, killed six people near the Kart-e Sakhi shrine.
At least 23 people were wounded in the attack in a heavily Shi’ite Muslim area in the west of Kabul.
The attacks came on Nowruz, an ancient Persian festival.
There were conflicting reports about of the cause of the blasts.
An interior ministry spokesman said mortar bombs had been fired.
According to reports, three rockets were fired at civilian homes and Nowruz gatherings.
Police arrested the attacker and secured the area.
