The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) has set up a shelter home for abused children.
The children up to 12 years of age, victims of violence and exploitation, who have no parents or dependents will be provided shelter and supervision.
The Children’s Villa is sponsored by HSBC.
The children’s villa is designed to meet the best international standards.
A psychologist, supervisors and nannies will provide all forms of support to children.
The new children’s villa includes more than 20 rooms with the capacity to accommodate 25 children.
The construction of the villa took about a year.
DFWAC Director-General Afra Al Basti said that the foundation is constantly developing its services to keep up with the best international practices to achieve excellence and leadership in all fields.
DFWAC Chairman Ahmed Bin Darwish Al Muhairi, Director-General Afra Al Basti, NFC Member initiated the new building at the Foundation’s headquarters in Dubai.
