Khouj sources have learned that the actual reason for the arrest of Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Salman Rafique in Paragon Housing Society is not their involvement in corruption.
In fact Pakistan Muslim League-(N) leaders had been issuing anti-establishment statements and therefore the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested them.
Sources said one more leader of PML (N) Qaiser Amin Butt was
made court-approver in the case, adding, he is addict of cocaine and NAB knows
how to get the statement of their choice from a cocaine addict. He told NAB Khawaja brothers are real
owners of housing society.
If Khawaja brothers were involved in corruption, they should have been arrested in the time of former General-President Pervez Musharraf when he was heading the state, they added.
Some opposition leaders have termed arrest of Khawaja brothers political revenge.
During the hearing, NAB prosecutor said that Rafique’s wife had partnered with Qaisar Amin Butt in the housing scheme and that the brothers had received money from the housing society.
He also claimed the Khawaja brothers admitted that they took millions of rupees as commission in Paragon Housing Society and Saad’s brother-in-law was also a partner in the society, NAB prosecutor added.
