Punjab and Khyber Pakhtun Khuwa have announced rebellion against Treasury Adviser to Prime Minister Hafeez Sheikh.
According to Khouj News sources, the provinces expressing lack of trust on the IMF programme announced the rebellion against the prime minister.
Treasury Adviser to Prime Minister Hafeez Sheikh, Sindh Chief Minister Muraad Ali Shah, Treasury Ministers of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtun Khuwa and Balochistan held a meeting with the International Monetary Fund.
The meeting was held in the perspective of IMF programme that Pakistan is trying to put the economy on the path of development.
The four provincial units book cash surplus due to more expenses as compared to the collective income which is used for calculating the total loss.
The provinces have called the IMF demand unrealistic.
According to sources, all the provinces have refused to accept the conditions of the IMF presented to them by Treasury Adviser to Prime Minister Hafeez Sheikh.
