Prime Minister Imran Khan met Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and discussed increment in salaries of the members of Punjab Assembly.
According to Khouj news, the chief minister met the prime minister at his office.
Usman Buzdar briefed the prime minister on the privileges and increment in salaries of the members of Punjab Assembly.
The prime minister expressed anger over the salaries matter and said the austerity policy of the government should be kept in view.
Both leaders exchanged views on political situation and administrative matters in the country.
Imran Khan advised Chief Minster Usman Buzdar to adopt the austerity policy and improve governance on which the chief minister told Imran Khan the party leaders interfere in the administrative matters.
He told him that because of interference difficulties are created.
Imran Khan told him to follow the manifesto of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and keep the administrative matters in his own hands.
Sources said, they also talked about the performance of provincial cabinet and the demands of Pakistan Muslim League (N) on the medical treatment of Nawaz Sharif.
The chief minister also told the prime minster that the Punjab government was in contact with the Sharif family regarding the treatment of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and he has been offered all the facilities.
The previous week, the Punjab Assembly had approved a bill for increment in the salaries of its members.
According to the bill, they increased the salaries from Rs 83,000 to Rs 2 lakh.
The prime minister taking notice of the matter had stopped Punjab Governor Muhammed Sarwar from signing the summary of the bill and called the chief minister at his office.
