The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) has asked all Pakistani TV channels not to show intimate moments between couples or bed scenes.
The media regulator said there was too much such content in the plays and they were getting complaints from viewers.
Warning all TV channels, it said not to air dramas containing
indecent clothing and gestures, controversial themes and plots involving
infidelity and extramarital affairs and unnecessary details and exposure of
bodies.
Pemra said such bold scenes offended viewers.
The electronic media regulator has advised TV channels to
observe decency in their dramas and non-news content.
It said it is against the commonly accepted standards of decency.
