Parliament should decide foreign policy, not military: Ex-Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani

Former Senator Raza Rabbani said, Parliament is being kept in the dark regarding foreign policy issues.

Former chairman Senate Raza Rabbani criticizing the military-dictated political set-up said the country’s foreign policy should be decided by the Parliament and not the military, sources learned.

He said, Parliament is the mother of all state institutions and to run a state smoothly and efficiently, state institutions should have harmony and the balance of power should be maintained, adding, the judiciary, executive and the military should be subjected to accountability without exception.

He said the Parliament was being made increasingly dysfunctional, adding, it was being kept in the dark regarding foreign policy issues.
