A Pakistani national, who was imprisoned in India, will be handed over to Pakistani authorities on Dec. 26 at Wagah Border, Lahore.
Imran Warsi served 10 years in Bhopal jail. He was arrested over suspicion of forging documents and alleged spying. According to sources, Warsi travelled from Karachi to Kolkata in 2004 to marry a girl.
He said in a video message, that his wife and children are in India and he would seek assistance from Pakistani authorities to bring them to Pakistan.
Recently Pakistan had released a Mumbai resident Hamid Nihal Ansari after he served six years in Mardan jail, Khyber Pakhtunkhawa.
He was arrested over charges of spying for Indian intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
The Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi has been informed ahead of final arrangements for repatriation of Imran Warsi to Pakistan.
