The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has approved $6 billion debt for Pakistan.
This was decided in the executive board session of the IMF on Wednesday.
Treasury adviser to Prime Minister, Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh said, the Pakistani economy will be provided stable economy by following the IMF programme.
The IMF approving the debt said, it will pave way for more $38 trillion debt for Pakistan by other international financial institutions.
Talking about the $38 billion debt, the treasury adviser said, $8.7 million is project loan, $4.2 million budget support loan, $14 million for continuing debt, $8 million for commercial loan.
He said, Asia Development Bank will give Pakistan $3.4 billion additional loan. $2.1 billion loan will be given in the current year.
