The Pakistani military has strongly rejected a BBC news report about human rights violations in North Waziristan Agency.
The Pakistan military called the report “a pack of lies and in violation of journalistic ethos.
The BBC report “Uncovering Pakistan’s Secret Human Rights Abuses” on June 2 said, the Pakistani military violated human rights in North Waziristan.
The BBC report is apparently premised on an airstrike on Jan. 22, 2014.
The operation had decimated the command and control centre and bomb-making factories of terrorists in the area which was called by the West the “most dangerous place on earth”.
According to BBC the strike had allegedly killed the family of a local man and his house was destroyed in the attack.
The military said in a statement, the BBC report is trying to implicate Pakistan Army without any proof of it violated human rights, the story is ill intended, biased and part of a larger agenda.
