The Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested a New York City policewoman on charges of asking a man to arrange the murder of her estranged husband and a 14-year-old girl.
Officer Valerie Cincinelli, 34, was taken into custody on Friday.
The cop worked in the New York Police Department 12 years.
The U.S. District Court in New York charged her with the conspiracy to commit murder.
The veteran had been discussing a murder-for-hire plot with her boyfriend, reports said.
Cincinelli gave $7,000 to a person who claimed he knew someone who would kill both, his 14-year-old daughter, and Cincinelli’s husband.
The complaint and a petition filed by prosecutors seeking Cincinelli’s detention do not state why she sought the death of the confidential source’s teenage daughter.
