NAB fails to produce evidence against Shabaz Sharif

The Accountability Court ordered to produce former Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif before the court again on Dec.13.

An accountability court turned down the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) request for extension in the physical remand of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)President Mian Shahbaz Sharif as NAB failed to produce any evidence against him.

The court ordered to produce him before the court again on Dec.13.
NAB could not prove he received any financial benefits, commissions or kick-backs and caused a financial loss of Rs75 million to the national exchequer.  Shahbaz is accused of cancelling Chaudhry Latif and Sons contract for the construction of Ashiana Housing project in 2010. The contract was given to Paragon City Private Limited, causing Rs715m loss and failure of the project.
