Foreign Ministry spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal said, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s anti-Pakistan statement is unfortunate and irresponsible.
He said, Modi’s statement regarding the use of nuclear bomb is irresponsible and for short-term political gains.
Modi addressing an election rally in Rajasthan said, New Delhi had stopped its policy of being frightened by Islamabad’s threats.
The spokesperson said, nuclear brinksmanship will cause instability in the region.
He said, issued must be resolved through dialogue, adding, brinksmanship and rhetoric must be discouraged.
He said, it’s not in the interest of the region, adding both countries should resume dialogue for long-term strategic stability in South Asia.
Modi said in the statement, Indian nuclear capabilities were not for Diwali.
