Opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif has said, May 12, 2007, is the blackest day in the history of Pakistan.
He said, on May 12 the country got into chaos because of a dictator.
Expressing solidarity with the affectees of May 12, he said, only through democracy we could move forward and May 12 was the day of learning for the nation.
He said, dictatorship, military rule and wish of one man caused loss to the interests of the nation.
Shahbaz Sharif said, the country was sacrificed against one man’s wish.
He said, peace in the country was sacrificed and today we commemorate the innocent citizens, and political activists who were martyred and killed unjustly.
He said, the media before May 12 and after played a difficult role in the history which is unforgettable.
He said, the need of the hour is to end hatred and move towards political agreement of opinion.
