Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg has called for establishing and updating rules that govern the internet.
Zuckerberg’s company is under pressure for failing to adequately police content and protect user privacy.
He wrote in an article in Washington Post “by updating the rules for the Internet, we can preserve what’s best about it.”
He also said Facebook and the U.S. government were negotiating a multibillion-dollar fine settlement over the company’s privacy lapses.
The social media network is struggling to defuse criticism.
