The National Accountability Bureau in Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa has filed a reference against former Federal Minister and Pakistan People’s Party Leader, Arbab Aalamgir and his wife, Aasma Aalamgir at the Accountability Court.
According to the NAB reference, Arbab Aalamgir and his wife, Aasma Aalamgir, made assets more than their income between 2008 to 2013 and bought properties in Islamabad.
The NAB alleged in the reference Arbab Aalamgir and his wife, Aasma Aalamgir did corruption of more than Rs 33 crore.
Both the accused are husband and wife, who were present at the Accountability Court at the time of filing of the reference.
The Accountability Court asked them to appear before the court on Jan. 10.
Arbab Aalamgir and Aasma Aalamgir after getting the copy of the NAB reference talked to the media outside the court and said all their properties are legal and they were being victimized politically.
They said they themselves contacted the court so the case ends soon, and they expect justice from the court.
They also said Imran Khan has double standards.
