British police arrested WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange on Thursday after his seven-year asylum at Ecuador’s embassy was revoked.
Australian-born Assange was dragged out of Ecuador’s embassy by at least seven men and moved into a police van.
He was heard shouting, “This is unlawful, I’m not leaving.”
He will be extradited to the United States for one of the biggest ever leaks of classified information.
The U.S. officials announced he had been charged with conspiracy to commit computer intrusion.
British Prime Minister Theresa May hailed the news in Parliament.
