Imran Khan has backed the United States on its policy on the Afghan conflict.
According to sources, the United States officials have ensured Prime Minister Imran Khan that the U.S. troops will withdraw from Afghanistan, however, they said the U.S. military is going to stay there unless and until they have achieved success in negotiations with the Afghan Taliban.
They also said, they want to restore complete peace in the war torn country.
On the special instructions of the U.S. President Donald Trump, U.S. special representative Zalmay Khalilzad had to come to Pakistan but he could not come because of some reasons.
In his place, another U.S. official Lisa Curtis is in Pakistan and she has met many Pakistani officials including Prime Minister Imran Khan. In the meetings Imran Khan has backed the U.S. policy on the Afghan war.
