The Islamabad High Court has announced a big verdict on the municipality system creating chaos and confusion in the power corridors.
According to Khouj News sources, the Islamabad High Court has given permission to the municipality representatives to use their powers.
The verdict by the highest court has caused a wave of concern among the team and cabinet members of the Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The Imran Khan government had removed the municipality system of Islamabad and decided to introduce a new municipality system.
The elected municipality representatives of Islamabad on the announcement of the Imran Khan government had contacted the court.
The court announced its verdict today.
Dozens of elected municipality representatives from the Punjab have also submitted applications with the Lahore High Court.
The Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Athar Manalla issued a four-page verdict ordering Islamabad administration not to do development projects without consulting with the elected municipality representatives.
The Islamabad High Court chief justice also issued order to Chief Commissioner Islamabad to give powers to the municipality representatives.
It was also stated in the verdict that no development could be done without the approval of the Union Council chairman.
