How the U.S. President Donald Trump was convinced to talk to Imran Khan, here are the details.
The U.S. military high-ups told the U.S. President Donald Trump to call back the U.S. troops home and peace in Afghanistan was not possible without the cooperation of the Pakistan military.
Knowing this Donald Trump changed his foreign policy on South Asia and agreed to negotiate with Pakistan.
It is pertinent to mention here, the U.S. president had written a letter to the Prime Minister Imran Khan and asked him for a meeting.
He also wrote in the letter to cooperate on the issue of Afghanistan in restoring peace in the war torn country.
He also requested in the letter to help arrange a direct meeting between the Afghan Taliban and U.S. officials.
This also needs to be mentioned here, negotiations between the Afghan Taliban and the U.S. officials are also continuing in Qatar, and the office of Taliban has been opened there which is operating.
Imran Khan had stated before the letter of the U.S. president that Pakistan will not fight anyone’s war.
After which Pakistan received a letter from Donald Trump for cooperation.
The U.S. president also offered his role for improving ties between India and Pakistan.
The mediation offer is being considered a successful policy of the Imran Khan government.
