The students of Lahore College for Women’s University expressed concern in a letter sent to Secretary Higher Education Commission over the Inter University Competition incident on March 28.
The competition was held at the university.
The shameless part of the competition was to open the university gates for boys.
According to the students, the competition was the black day in the history of university when boys entered the university in inappropriate dresses and harassed the girls.
They kept hooting at the girls and made sexual gestures towards the girls.
The situation embarrassed not only the girls but also their parents and perplexed them.
The students held the university administration responsible for the incident.
They also said, the shameless remarks by Dr Rifat Dar, Head of Visual Arts Department, that the Lahore College for Women University has attraction for boys are also saddening.
The students also said, Dr Rifat Dar also said they opened the university gates for the boys for money, so the girls should also enjoy.
According to the students, Dr Rifat Dar is responsible for the incident and the event was organized for making money.
