More than 10 million Yemenis stand at the brink of starvation.

Food aid for Yemen war affectees is at risk of rotting in a warehouse, the United Nations said on Monday.

The food aid is in the western port city of Hodeida, Yemen.

According to reports, enough grain is to feed 3.7 million people for a month.

The granary has remained off-limits to aid organisations for months leaving millions of Yemenis without access to life-saving sustenance.

More than 10 million Yemenis stand at the brink of starvation.

The United Nations Yemen envoy Martin Griffiths said, the rebels had made efforts to re-open the road leading to the mills.

Martin Griffiths secured a ceasefire agreement in December for Hodeida between the Iran-backed rebels and Saudi-led coalition.

The Yemen war has killed around 10,000 people since 2015.

Human Rights groups estimate the toll is significantly higher.
