Dr Aafia Siddiqui’s release from U.S. prison demanded

Dr Fowzia Siddiqui has said she hopes that the present government of Prime Minister Imran Khan will take measures for the release of her sister Dr Aafia Siddiqui who is in U.S. prison over terror charges.

Aafia Movement Pakistan being led by Dr Fowzia took out “Aafia Peace Rally” with the demand for the urgent release of Aafia. A large number of people, human rights activists, civil society members were holding banners, ply cards, and portraits of Aafia Siddiqi and chanted anti-U.S. slogans.

The protestors demanded that the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf under the leadership of Imran Khan should stop any dialogue with the U.S. unless the release of Dr Afia is ensured.

Dr Fowzia said she was hopeful that Imran Khan would support their cause.
