Czech model Tereza Hluskova on Tuesday challenged her conviction, eight years and eight months imprisonment and Rs1.4 million fine, by the Lahore High Court (LHC).
Tereza Hluskova has been found guilty of smuggling 9 kg of heroin, worth Rs 150 million, en route to Ireland via Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.
The lawyer for the model submitted a petition in court asking the sentence be set aside with the contention the model had visited Pakistan for Islamic studies.
She was taken into custody at the Allama Iqbal International Airport.
The co-accused in the case, Shoaib Hafeez Khan, was acquitted in the case.
