Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has suspended five officials in Gujranwala on the complaint of masses.
The officials were suspended over bribery and negligence of duty.
The suspended officials are Education Chief Executive Officer Farooq, Tehsildar (Gujranwala President) Khawaja Nadeem, Sub-Registrar (rural) Ansar Sageer Khan.
Inquiry was initiated against the officials.
During a visit to the Central Jail, in charge Assistant Superintendent Jail and Warden Faisal were suspended over bribery.
The chief minister said, no one is allowed to become a hurdle in the way of serving people.
Visiting under construction Ghaghar Sports Arena in Ghaghar Mandi, he said, it will be completed with the amount of Rs 37 crore.
Cricket, hockey and football grounds are being made in the sports arena.
Punjab CM Usman Buzdar issued instructions to complete the project on time.
He said, the sports complex will provide an opportunity to the youth to show their capabilities in sports.
Secretary sports briefed the chief minister on the construction of the sports arena which is being built on 55 kanal area.
The chief minister also inaugurated a buss stand in Gujranwala.
He said, shelter homes are also being constructed in all the districts for the people who sleep on the roads and footpaths in the Punjab, adding, medical facilities will also be provided at the shelter homes.
After the inauguration of shelter home at the bus stand, talking to the media he said, he will go through the feasibility report for a university in Gujranwala.
