British health minister Matt Hancock will contest to be the next prime minister of the Conservative Party.
British health minister Matt Hancock said on Saturday he would enter the contest to replace Theresa May.
Theresa May announced on Friday she would step down as Conservative leader on June 7.
She admitted defeat that she could not get parliament to pass a divorce deal she agreed with the European Union.
Former foreign minister Boris Johnson, Foreign Minister Jeremy Hunt, International Development Secretary Rory Stewart and ex-Pensions Minister Esther McVey have also said they will contest in the elections for the slot of the prime minister.
Boris Johnson is seen as the favourite to win the elections.
