Accusations against Aleema Khan, sister of Prime Minister Imran Khan, for making illegal properties in Duabi and Pakistan has put Imran Khan in an awkward position.
She is also being accused of money laundering. Pakistan Muslims League and Pakistan People’s Party leaders said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) should also take Aleema Khan in custody just as they have arrested politicians of the opposition parties. They said NAB should make a reference against her and a case be registered.
Prime Minister’s Special Coordinator for Accountability, Shahzaad Akber, has said there is a possibility to register a money-laundering case against Aleema Khan if there is proof.
Shahzaad Akber said even after paying taxes the properties of Aleema Khan didn’t get any legal status. The issue of illegal properties and money laundering has put Imran Khan in a lot of trouble.
