An Afghan woman was arrested with a hand grenade in her bag trying to make her entry into the Pakistan Consulate General in Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan.

The woman is under investigation to find perpetrators of the failed attack.

Pakistan Consulate in Mazar-e-Sharif will remain closed.

Pakistan authorities have asked the Afghan government to provide fool-proof security at the consulate to prevent any untoward incident. 

They also asked Afghan Foreign Office to share the findings of the investigation at the earliest.
