Afghan President Ashraf Ghani accepted Prime Minister Imran Khan’s invitation to visit Pakistan on June 27.
He will discuss security and economic issues.
The United States Special Representative for the Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad welcomed the statement of the Afghan president and said improved ties between Pakistan and Afghanistan are inevitable for development and regional connectivity.
A statement by the Prime Minister’s Office said that PM Imran assured Kabul of Islamabad’s support in bringing peace and stability in Afghanistan.
He also underlined Pakistan’s firm support for an Afghan-led peace process for a political solution.
The visit will provide an opportunity to both countries for political and economic security.
