The accountability court will announce its verdict in Al Azizia and Flagship cases against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Dec. 24.
The counsel for Nawaz Sharif said allegations against his client were politically motivated, and the joint investigation team report in Panama Papers case and Al Azizia reference was biased.
Defence counsel Khawaja Haris asked the court for additional time to submit some more documents. The judge told the parties that any additional documents may be submitted in the court by Dec. 21.
After the hearing, talking to the media he said not a penny of corruption was proven against him and also thanked the party members and leaders for their support.
His sons, Hussain Nawaz and Hasan Nawaz have been absconding since the proceedings began against the Sharif family on September 14, 2017.
