At least 13 people were arrested in Lahore for flying kites as the police launched a crackdown in several areas of the city.
Pakistan government banned kite flying after many people were killed and injured by the glass, metal-coated, and metal strings being used for flying kites.
The kite-flying festival, “Basant” was celebrated in February every year till 2007.
