Family of TV, film star Roohi Bano appeal to government to bring her body back to Pakistan

Roohi Bano started acting for television when she was doing her MSc in psychology from the Government College, Lahore, in early 70s.

Renowned Pakistani TV and film actar Roohi Bano passed away at age 68 on Friday in Turkey.

She was being treated at a hospital in Istanbul.

The former artist had been on ventilator for the past 10 past days, sources said.

Her family was in Istanbul to accompany the actress.

Robina Yasmin, the sister of the actress, said, they have appealed to the government of Pakistan to bring her body back to Pakistan for burial as they do not have resources.

She has been burried in Turkey. She had psychological complications and kidney issues.

She was admitted to Lahore’s Fountain House in 2005 for treatment of schizophrenia.

She was a versatile actress.
